Aim Returns to Florida for National Sales Meeting

The annual Aim National Sales Meeting, held every January, is an event for Aim Transportation Solution’s sales staff and executive team to celebrate the successes of the previous year and pave a strategic path into the new one.

After having gone fully virtual last year, this year’s meeting returned home to the Holiday Inn in beautiful Fort Myers, FL. There, the two-day meeting consisted of a formal awards dinner, a vendor fair and an array of strategic meetings and discussions. For the individuals who reached their annual sales goal, a four-day incentive trip full of beachside rest, relaxation and fun followed.

This time around, the sales meeting adopted the motto Drive Success. It’s a fitting tribute to the last two years, which held an array of unique challenges. Despite those challenges, the entire sales staff adapted to and overcame whatever obstacle lay in their path to success; that is, they did whatever it took to drive success.

The meeting kicked off on January 10 with a formal banquet and awards ceremony. This special night recognized the members of the Aim sales team who met or exceeded their annual sales goals—which just so happened to be every single one of them—and were presented with the President’s Circle award. Recipients included: Alex Marchal, Brian Bair, Brian Peisker, Candy Paulus, Dan Fleming, Dave Nichols, David Williams, Don Baldacci, Ed Parrott, Gerrie Tipton, Jeff Leas, Joe Telega, John Matthews, Josh Lombardo, Kerry Langlois, Kevin Dunbar, Mike Chopp, Mike Wall, Mike Williams, Rick McNerney, Steve Sawin, Susan Dodson, Tim Hanley, Trisha Mossor and Vinny DiMarco. From Aim Integrated Logistics, Larry Strugalski and Ron Gillum were also recognized by Chief Operating Officer, David Gurska and Vice President of Integrated Sales, Tom Reda. Additionally, Langlois and Nichols were recognized as having the most new accounts and the highest revenue, respectively.

“Forced to go virtual for last year’s meeting and coming off a record-shattering sales year, this awards dinner felt extra special,” Matt Svancara, Aim’s Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing, said. “We had the privilege of recognizing every single member of our sales staff for meeting and exceeding their annual goals. I feel incredibly fortunate to lead such an extraordinary team, and I’m proud beyond measure of each and every one of them.”

Also during the evening, Aim Co-President Geoff Fleming took the podium to acknowledge Svancara’s 25th year with the company as well as present him with the Aim Sales and Leadership Achievement award for his steadfast leadership and management of the sales team through Aim’s best sales year in history.

Day two kicked off with this year’s Drive Success sessions that comprised a lineup of presentations and discussions to inform, inspire and ignite the sales staff to carry the red-hot momentum of 2021 into 2022. Svancara and Geoff Fleming, Aim Co-President, as well as other Aim executives, were on hand to present and chart the course for the months ahead.

One primary focus was on how Aim can best utilize its numerous maintenance offerings and robust freight brokerage services to help new and existing customers navigate the stagnation of truck manufacturing plaguing the country, which itself has been brought on by a stagnation of key component manufacturing and ongoing supply chain woes.

Joe Gallick, Senior Vice President of National Accounts at NationaLease, took time during the event to recognize Matt Svancara for being an integral part of the NationaLease mission and to announce Svancara as one of the 29 NationaLease Masters Club award winners. The Masters Club program gives the top salespeople in the NationaLease network, of which Aim is a proud member, a chance to prove just how valuable they are and gives NationaLease a chance to recognize their hard work. Matt Svancara is no stranger to this honor and, in fact, is enshrined in the Masters Club Hall of Fame. Also no strangers to the Masters Club and extraordinary sales achievements, John Matthews, Kerry Langlois and Mike Wall landed on the list of 2021 winners as well.

The day concluded with the very informative and equally fun vendor fair. This is when Aim’s invaluable vendor partners, whose generous sponsorships make this annual event possible, set up booths in the hotel ballroom for the Aim sales staff to visit and learn about new equipment and technologies, which allow Aim to better customize its offerings specific to each customer’s unique operation. On top of their sponsorships, each vendor brought raffle prizes for the Aim team. Valued sponsor Great Dane furnished the grand prize: A trip to Orlando, FL! The lucky winner was Aim Business Development Manager Vinny DiMarco.

Carrying on the tradition started in 2020, nearly 60 people competed in a cornhole tournament. Aim Business Development Specialist Steve Sawin beat out everyone to take home the cash prize as well as the custom Aim-branded cornhole boards, designed by Conrad Smith, Aim’s Marketing Manager and primary graphic designer.

“We had a record number of vendors in attendance, which seems to be the case each year,” said Jessica Deane, Aim’s Director of Marketing and event organizer. “This is a testament to the growth of the Aim brand and the company’s relentless drive to be a trusted, all-in-one transportation solutions provider, and we can’t thank our valued vendor partners enough for being a huge, necessary part of this meeting and our overall success.”
